CUP January Cleanup

Welcome to 2023! This is a new year but some things don’t change. There is still a lot to do in the Preserve.

Today, we gathered a mighty crew of 15 volunteers and cleaned up over 600 lbs of trash. Good finds included a kid’s scooter, plastic bins and rebar. Some of us climbed the rocks behind the dog park and also enjoyed a good view of the 6 Hours of Papago race while filling up buckets of trash.

We have now connected with multiple stakeholders and city services to help address the litter issue in Papago Park and Preserve. Stay tuned for our next events (including trail revitalization) and the first edition of our Bike Brigade coming in February.
