Clean Up Papago is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Papago Preserve and its surroundings. Our all-encompassing vision focuses on maintaining a clean environment and caring for Papago Trail systems.
Keeping Our Desert Clean
C.U.P organizes clean-up events and raises awareness on the importance of caring for this desert Preserve.
C.U.P partners with city officials to address illegal dumping and remove bulk litter from the Preserve.
C.U.P is dedicated to creating a network of trail user advocates to engage in informal outreach with other trail users.
Preserve Papago Trail System
C.U.P teams up with bike brands and other organizations to host trail days. Our goal is to tackle spider trails and maintain existing trail systems.
C.U.P stands for democratization of trail information by sharing resources and trail maps. We also partner with city officials to provide accurate trail signage and on-site information.
C.U.P counts on a local advocate network and helps prevent illegal trail building by bridging the gap between city officials and trail users.

At Clean Up Papago, our mission is to preserve and enhance the beauty of Papago Park & Preserve and its surroundings. We are dedicated to keeping the park & Preserve free of litter, maintaining and enhancing its trail system, and educating trail users on the importance of “leave no trace” practices. Through community events, we engage with local residents and visitors to ensure that Papago Park remains a pristine natural space for future generations.
Our vision is to become the leading non-institutional stakeholder in the management, maintenance, and enhancement of the Papago Preserve. We believe in the power of community and work hand-in-hand with local stakeholders to achieve our goals.
