Earth Day 2022
Our Earth day Cleanup on Friday, April 22nd was a huge success! Clean Up Papago welcomed 100 volunteers who helped remove over 1,500 lbs of trash from the Papago Preserve. Individual contributors and organizations such as American Airlines, Petsmart, Proctorio, Arrivia and Camelback Culture celebrated Earth Day 2022 by giving time back to nature and we are so grateful for what we’ve all accomplished!
This event wouldn’t have been such a success without our amazing partners who showed up with swag, snacks, coffee and iced tea:
We are hosting our last Taco Trail Cleanup of the season on June first, and hope to see you there! Our Taco Trail events are held monthly and feature one hour of power cleanup, followed by social time around tacos and drinks. The funds raised through these events help us finance our initiatives within the Papago Park area and its surroundings.
We will resume Trail Cleanup events in the Fall and will spend our Summer reinforcing partnerships and plan future projects (trail maintenances, preservation of natural spaces).
